Wind not bad here. If it were summer, the breeze would be lovely

Heading out to bring the weeks stash plus extra up to the back door & fill up inside as best as possible.

Right after I posted this the lights started to flicker pretty good, the power stayed on.
Loon, I was thinking about a quick walk in the woods when the wind stopped for a bit, then this gust hit the house (thought the window was coming in the house).so I'll wait until tomorrow. I think we have some down on the hill in the back.

CTguy9230, I'm hoping the snow stays south of us but if we do get some good snow it would help out some of the businesses in this area.

Jack Straw, how high are the winds suppose to be in your area?

Dix, how cold is your area going to get with the artic air coming in?

From what I've seen on the news they have great trails if they have the snow.

My front door is weatherstripped with old fashioned spring bronze. I know its a windy day when that stuff starts to sing. Got woken up by the wail yesterday and today.

Right now its gusting to 50, I feel cold drafts around the windows because of it, but its 50F so to warm to light a fire. I made use of this last day of the midwinter thaw to restock the small woodshed and do the quarterly generator test run. We are expecting the crash to single digits rest of the week and there is talk of snow.

I retied my ropes on 4 tarps yesterday while it was 50 degrees outside.
Last night the winds were just howling here in West Michigan within earshot of Lake Michigan.
This morning all 4 tarps had been completely ripped off my stacks. Argh....
This summer I will be building a huge woodshed that will hold about 3 years worth.

The type of weather that thickens the oil in your vehicles. Just loaded the Liberty up for the first time today, ran the pellet stove.
