Do you own one/many? Do you have access to them? If so, please post some pics of them. I'd like to see what your Sugar Maples look like.
 
I don't... but my parents do.... MASSIVE trees... have to be nearing 5' on the butt. If I remember, I will go take a picture of them...
 
Do a google search on them and then click on images and you'll see lots.
