someone did a review on this splitter last year and seemed pretty happy. IF I was in the market for a gas powered, I would definately consider it. It looks pretty stout. and you would get the green light from Dennis due to the verticle splitting ability. LOL

Looks like a good buy for the average split. If your looking to split knots or Y's it won't do it. I personally split the easy stuff by hand and keep the really hard stuff for my 30 ton. If you need it to split the easy stuff and don't expect it to do the hard stuff, then it looks like a good option.
 
I have never used this splitter so I have no first-hand knowledge, but 12 ton doesn't feel like enough to me. I don't think my Huskee could power through some of the uglies if it were running at almost half capacity.
