It looks awesome. And yes keep the gate. We have small kids too and our stove is VERY hot on the sides and of course the front. Sadly we had a mild burn last year from when my middle child fell into it. We won't take chances again.

Hello

Very nice, That unit puts out some serious heat!

I have an old Sante Fe pellet stove I am using in the morning now to warm up my shed/workshop. I used less than a bag for the whole week! I luv pellet fuel!

I should of clarified that.. I was talking about the accentra insert (like the one in my profile picture)
