T-Stat question

I agree w/ Smokey.....since Englander states in the owner manual to run it at 9-9 on a stat, I don't think your question is necessary. There are no pros/cons.
 
I have no way of knowing, the stove may be more efficient at another setting and even then that would not take into consideration your actual setup.

ETA: Just so the OP and any reader can understand this remark, it is possible that due to venting a lower setting may provide the best use of fuel but it is also possible that at the most fuel efficient setting for your stove just might not heat your house on a particular day.
