I'm having problems with my tekmar 156 differential controller. http://tekmarcontrols.com/alternativeenergy/156.html After three seasons, the relay seems to be sticking on the "heat" position.
This control is the heart of my system. I need to get something working and fast. A new tekmar goes for about $160. That's allot of money to me right now.
I'm looking at myDTC temp controllers. http://www.mydtcstore.com/index.html

Does anyone have any recommendations on any other differential controllers?

I haven't contacted Tekmar yet. The unit is over 3 years old and has a limited 2 year warranty.
I've been researching different controllers. Some units will vary the pump speed while controlling the delta t. Sounds interesting!

Contacting them online might be worth a try - a good company often stands behind their products beyond the warranty. And, perhaps they have an easy DIY fix for your problem. And, you can also mention that the folks on Hearth.com are interested in knowing how this turns out for you ;-)

I don't think that there can be too much inside that tekmar that can go wrong; likely just a sticky relay contact. I would get in touch with them - they may have an exchange program as well.

If not, crack it open yourself or take it to your local TV repair shop (if there still is one around). It should be a simple job to source and replace that relay.

I'm waiting on Tekmars return call from British Columbia. I did take it apart. I found the relay which is soldered into their circuit board. Not much I can do there.

I found the Tekmar technicians to be vey helpful in the past. But I've never had an issue like this.....
