Can I use a telescopic section from my stove top to my adapter at the ceiling ? I have to make up about 5' 6" from stove to ceiling and can do it with one piece of telescopic if that's ok to do .
 
Don't see why not. That's what I used. It takes an adapter for the stove collar and the ceiling box. My Simpson ceiling box came with the adapter for double wall but I had to purchase the stove collar adapter separately.
 
Yes that's what I did. I used the duravent DVL stove pipe. Only needed one telescoping section ( the longest one they make )
