    Tempwood slowly digesting a load of Pin Oak. The splits in the stove now have been seasoned for two years covered in double rows. Been burning the same stove for over 30 years with no intention of replacing it.

    Ahhh, back when stoves were nice and simple. I remember those stoves. They were great.

    I've seen a few pics of those stoves but could never figure out how you load them. Are they side door?

    They are a top load.You open the two top draft plates then open the loading door. When you open the draft plates the fire dies down allowing you to refill the stove.
