So Cent ALASKA
Got it split & most all stacked today. Got a little over a cord.
Close to time to for a new permit.
Made the rows a bit longer so next time Jake can see them when he drives by :)

Biggest round my splitter has split. Well big for me anyway. 22".
Some pics of my fire wood set up, 48' wood shed , splitting & drying area.
New stuff on the 3 pallets, yellow/orangish color when wet & some yet to stack.
Drying/seasoning area - 2 rows just over 4' high on pallets with space between rows.
& of course my view of the MTs.
Clouds just lifted to the peaks. Not much snow left but they got some fresh stuff Wednesday & may get more according to the forecast

That's the squarest round I've ever seen ==c

Looks wonderful up there Dave.

That's the new Shamrock Birch hybrid tree.;)
It's amazing Dave, when I think back to when you first posted and compare to now.
What a huge difference a bit of time makes, eh? Love your pics.

Thanks
I say the same thing every now & then.
Exponential improvement & still have room to do better ;)
You guys have taught me allot. When I see the above pics to the old pics, WOW!
Disproves the theory "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" :)

Before: Hand splitting, tarps, wood not off the ground on pallets. No wood shed. &
the worst, was burning some wood that was cut only 2 or 3 months CSS.

The trunk was limbless about 20', then at the top 3 big limbs, (as big as many trees I've taken).
I call ones this big, "rollers". They are to heavy for me to lift.
But rolling the "square" was a new experience. It was a big tree for here. A 2 tree trailer load, also a new experience.
Sure splits into a nice big stack of wood.
Heavy & difficult to skid up hill the, logs just over 4' was all I could skid. Though, I kinda like it after it's at home in the splitting area :)

LOL, noticed the milk crate with a cushion (styrofoam?) on it to avoid "waffle-butt". Hmm, I wonder where else we've seen that on this forum.... Great pics, outstanding stacks and that view --WOW!

Hey zap, we got some rain too. Probably .001" at best...

I didn't measure what we got, but it was going hard for 20-30 mins to the point that my gutters where overflowing.
Finished welding some pieces on my splitter and I'll be headed out later today. Have 4 cords I need to deliver by end of this week and then another 7 after that. Just maybe I'll just some wood done for me too?

Bogydave, the rain arrived about 10 minutes ago, thank you very much.==c

Just got about an inch. We're not in as bad a shape as y'all south of us. The lawns are brown but the corn is green ;)

It will be a few more years before I get back to visit my brother in law and sister Dave . . . by then you will probably have quadrupled the size of your woodshed and stacks . . . I expect. ;)
