Thanx, Zap. Gonna run this by the HOG Chapter
& see if there's interest in a ride this summer. The
roads in that area (Rt30, Rt28N & Rt28) are GREAT
    motorcycle riding...Then there's Oscar's Adirondack
Smoke House in Warrensburg. Best Applewood
    Smoked Bacon anywhere...

We make AT LEAST one run to the Tail of the Pup every summer. We take the
back roads up to Ticonderoga & then on to Westport & take 73 into Placid.
Lunch at the "Pup" & then down thru Tupper to W'burg & Oscar's...Generally,
good BBQ, but last summer the meal was disappointingly cold & flavorless...
Maybe the cook was having a bad day, & I'll definitely make the ride this summer.
It's a 350 mile day, but like I said earlier, the roads are in good shape & really
twisty...I hafta load up on CDs cuz for the most part there's not much good music
in them thar woods, at least not to my liking...

We have taken the kids to the Wild Center twice now. They really like it. I would recommend it. One of the things I like about it was it was not too big. It does not take long to go through, enjoy, and be on your way to the next thing to do. Tail O the Pup is a decent place to eat. I have been there a few times. One time good, two times so so. If you are hungry, I like the Lumberjack in Tupper Lake. Breakfast are great, other meals are great as well. I also have found many places in Lake Placid with great food.
