Does anyone have a good location to place the stove thermometer on the montpelier insert? Maybe someone that owns the monte could give me some pointers.
I've had about 3 smaller fires over the weekend, last night I brought it up to what I thought was a little higher temp. The thermo did not go any higher than about 250 but it certainly felt hotter than that. I have tried placing it in the upper corner of the insert just beyond the door and have also placed a second one on the door itself.
Any other options would be appreciated. Thank you.
