what is the benefit\advantage of installing a Tstat on your pellet stove?
Will it reduce the amount of pellets burned?

I'm sure you'll get a lot of opinions around pellet consumption with/without a thermostat. Personally, I don't notice too much of a difference.

The main reason I went with a T-stat was because we go away many weekends in the winter, and I was tired of coming home to a cold house and then still having to wait several hours for it to heat up (I refuse to use oil... I am stubborn). With a T-stat, I'm able to set it and forget it. Stove turns on 4-5 hours before I come home, and the house is nice and warm.

For me, that's the biggest advantage. Hope that helps!
