I am in the process of making a digital temp gauge as described in https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/83902/ but have been pondering the correct placement of the sensor to get accurate readings.

I have a Buck model 21 (which appears to be a double walled steel)

Where would you put the sensor?

My options are weighted down on the inside of the blower vent, on the top of the stove, or with a magnet to the front right corner?
