Its been quite some time since I've been around woodstoves(15)yrs. The last ones were a timberline and a
blaze king which were air tight, shut the drafts, the damper and it will last. Do the new stoves operate the
the same way? I just ordered the Napoleon 1400 and was wondering if you install a damper and operate it
like the older ones?

Normally a flue damper is not required unless there is excessive draft. How tall is the flue on this stove?
