In The Woods
Finished the cherry tree on my neighbors lot, attached are some pictures of the mess. In picture 100_2015 I decided that I would winch the rest down because of a rotten tree you can't see but in picture 100_2016 you can see it fell when I started winching the cherry.

My neighbor stopped by and said that everything looked good so I guess I'm back cutting early in the morning (Thursday) on our property.

Nice! That is a good size Cherry. Is it all cut to 14.75? My stove only can fit 10" N/S. I am really considering cutting some of my next trees to 10". It just seems so small but makes so much sense. I have been laying down a base of 10's then putting 18's E/W on top.

If it wasn't Thanksgiving tomorrow yes. I am doing the cooking tomorrow so no... That won't be there long.

FireAnt- I like to put 2-3 18"on the BOTTOM and lay 14" splits N/S on TOP - this way ,theres no chance of any splits rolling and breaking my stove glass.,,,,just an idea :)

ZAP - I ALWAYS enjoy seeing your work, but I wonder to myself - "how does Zap have SO much time to c/s/s? I'm just jealous- by the time I get home from work at 4:30, its almost dark. Can I be you for a week or 2? ;-)

Took some extra time (Wednesday & Friday) off to see how much I can get done, never thought I would be doing this ten years ago.

Happy Thanksgiving

Seems I've been cutting the last 1.5 years, this summer instead of pictures of wood it better be the boat on some body of water.
