I have been watching the board all winter and think I have a descent top 10 list:

    1 Hammers
    2 Barefoots
    3 Okies
    4 Thurmans
    5 Vermont
    6 Spruce point
    7 MWP
    8 O'Malleys
    9 Blazer
    10 Ambiance

I still wish there was a sticky up at the top where we could vote on our favorite pellets and r3ead comments.

Have you burned all these brands or are you basing this on the posts from this forum? Anyways, I think that MWP is ranked too high, and LaCrete's are should be a top 5 pellet. Anyways I think that you may be on to something, but the offerings by region vary greatly, and that some smaller/newer pellet manufacturers may be inadvertently off the list due to lack of exposure in all markets.

I've only been able to burn four of the brands on your list one of them being Omalley and I wouldn't put them in my top ten. For me Okanagan has been Ruler of the roost...there are
several more that I like but I'm not giving up any lists until my fuel stock is secure for next year. :p

Hard to believe you have O'Malley's on that list, but not Greene Team or Somersets.

Oh this could be a long one. Grabbing a couple bags of popcorn and 12 pack of beer. Okay I'm ready! Let the debate begin!

We don't have any of the others here in So. Maryland, but I like the Hamers pretty well. So from the post above me, I will throroughly clean my stove from top to bottom and then again to fix my problem on my Dell Point Europa 75 since I can't find anyone to service it for me. My contact is gone and I have no idea where to buy parts from not.
Anyone know of where I can get parts for this stove?
  8. imacman Minister of Fire

Contact Paromax directly at 877-419-9877, or contact forum member "Fsappo" he is (or was) a dealer for them in NY.

Also, found this place that has parts:

    My list is
Hammers, Stove Chow and Presto logs and lignetics. These are all pretty similar in my stove.

And there was another random bag I tried but cant remember the name. Burned great and had zero fines. The name was pretty standard and may have began with a W. Just cant remember. Wood pellet co mayybe???

I come here every day almost... and have never even heard of Ambiance or Blazer.... don't know how those made the most popular list.

omalleys certainly shouldn't be on here
mwp has several different kinds, at least (blend, soft, hard) and have different results.
same for the oakies, and even hammer used to have 2 plants..

The list is like saying ford has the best car of 2013 instead of the mustang. it needs to be 'modeled' down at the very least.

    and popularty doesn't dictate quality.

insert Carl Sagan VS Kardashian photo here.

Blazers are from out west and pretty scarce around here. I bought a 1/2 ton of them last winter and I'd say they definitely belong up there.

Burned 2 tons of MWP softies this winter and just dipped into Lignetics. After a couple of bags, I have no problem saying I like the Lignetics better.

Easy enough. It may not become a sticky but you or anyone can create a favorite pellet poll.
I'm too lazy to do it but I'm sure someone will want to be the hero.

Those 10mbags of North Country in your sig are definately a kick-ass pellet. I don't think I am going to carry them this coming season, therefore I refuse to put them in the top 10, although they probably belong there. But remember, I am just here to "pump my own stuff!"

Depending on where you go throughout the US will depend on the pellet.

Washington doesn't get a lot of Northeast pellets and vice versa.

    Same goes for Alaska.

I agree with dex, Location will throw a wrench in the list. Each region will have its own variety. Money/price also effects things. Ask the boys up in Maine and the MWP/ MWP softies would be tops of the list because of the dollar factor.

Then there is the human factor. Just like ice cream and candy. Cars, boats, motorcycles and trucks. Everyone has their own judgement on them.
