Next three pictures are the fire starting, once we had good coals we burned at a stack temp of 400 the rest of the night. Pictures are reversed.

Pics like this make me look forward to burning season. Then a few weeks into it I'm cursing the soggy wet ground and the need to sweep after bringing in a fresh load. Then I settle into the recliner next to the Endeavor and all it right with the world again. It's a strange dichotomy, heating with wood.

5 to 7 minutes after the fire started I had the flue temp at 300+.
