has anyone installed a top vent stove such as the T6 into a masonry fireplace? Can it be hooked directly into a flex liner?

Yes, we see several of these installation here. It should work with an appliance adapter on the flex as long as there is room to connect. Easing the heavy T6 into a the opening will be a challenge. Maybe put a metal sheet under the feet that it can slide on?
