Tradition brand insert

Need info on this wood burning insert. We are redoing the face of the fireplace but need to know how far the mantle needs to be from the opening. It was installed in 1988 and the name on it says "tradition ". Made in Canada. Would really appreciate it anyone knows where to get specs on it.

Looks like an early version of a BIS Tradition by Security Chimney. Does it say Tradition or Tradition CE?
