Bought a True Temper 8 lb maul red fiberglass handle at Lowes last week split about a cord with it, and the big chunk of plastic came out of the top of the head. Now the handle is starting to loosen. Piece of Crap!!
Any suggestions on a good 8 pounder?
Thanks, Doug

No prob...they'll take it back. btw that shouldn't happen to fiberglass so something is seriously jacked up with the company that cooked up that fiberglass recipe.

that's pretty odd, was it a wedge like what's found at the end of wooden handles? usually you can just bang those right back in but as others have said they don't typically pop out for quite a long time. Most of the fiberglass, and other like handles Ive seen and put on, are typically set in strong epoxy. Either way an 8lb maul is great do everything splitter, at worst you can pick up another composite handle (that set with epoxy) for $12.
