This wood is at the pile I scrounge. Anyone know what it is?

Shagbark hickory , phenomenal wood , get all you can. Season it and check moisture content, I think its like oak , it needs 2 plus years to dry.
 
Was hoping it was shaggy. Looks strange with the bark peeled away. Looks like some exotic species.
