I understand that Harman is coming out with a UL Feeder to replace the chain and sprocket that drives the auger. My sprocket got a small beld in it from years of use. Now the chain makes noise when it slipes by that point. My stove shop is coming to fix the problem. We talked about the UL FEEDER replacing the sprocket. Has anyone heard of this and if so is it a good alternative.

It is possible to convert the chain drive mechanism to the UL mechanism, but the changeout is time-consuming, messy, and the parts arent cheap. My advice, since your change-out wouldnt be covered under warrantee would be to just replace the sprocket and be done with it.
