Can anyone tell me if you are able to tell how old a stove is by the UL listing # I'm looking at a Vermont casting stove with the UL numbers ANSI UL737---UL1482. The person that owns the stove said the stove was from the late 70's.....early80's. I thought that V.C. did not start using UL # till much later . Am I wrong or just confused

Not from the UL listing, those are just the test standard numbers. I think it was the early 80's when UL came into play.
