They told me to drop it off and they would run it and see what it needs and go from there...55$ per hour labor...attached? IDK...I like the stove and dont have 3000$ for a new one...even a quadra fire classic bay is 2600$ at the quad dealer here.

What area of NY you in? Check CL often?

There is a very nice P-43 in my area for $1,200 with venting included.

Which with venting, is about 40% of new? Thats not even close to the Best deals i have seen. Thats just a good one. There was a Harman Advance for $500 at the beginning of the season. That was a great deal!!!

There is someone that does board repair. May be a option if the board is not right.

I dropped it off this morning...waiting to hear from them...it could still be the esp probe too....But I am thinking its the circuit board...possibly needs the upgrade which comes with a new esp probe as well..time will tell...will keep ya posted.

Curious as to what they find.
One positive way to look at this is you now know your stove a lot better and after all the work it very well may run well for many more years without issue. Offsetting the cost of the repairs or a new stove. Just a thought to keep your spirits up.

I'm thinking I cant replace the stove with a new one for what little or much I am spending for repairs....almost a brand new stove...

    Ok ready for this...
Stopped back at the stove repair place to check in..well heres what happened..
first they have never seen a stove do what mine was and never seen that phantom fire burn in the ash bin..
As the tech began checking the esp probe by replacing with a new one he found something peculiar with the circuit board...somebody had put a jumper wire across the thermostat terminals on the board...just as he took it off..the blower started to work properly as well as the feed motor..
This jumper kept the blower running on high and the feeder motor feeding non stop.
Stove working perfect and i am heading back with the truck to pick it up...looks like just an hour for labor...think I dodged a bullet again.

That stove did look like it was Overfeeding (burning pellets falling over the edge)

Congratulations. Cheap fix and now you have new gaskets and a great understanding of the operation.

I missed the over feed in the vids but I understand now why you thought something was up with the blower. Wonder how that jumper got there? In any event congrats!! Now that you got all the air leaks fixed it should run like champ. Enjoy your hard work!

If it gets the stove running and keeps it running, great. Savings of pellets over any other heat pays that investment pretty fast.
