Remove the micro-switch...did they give you a new slave for the feeder plate? Is that what I see in the picture in front of the burn pot?

Put one in in fall. Was a very simple install. Took me about 90 minutes taking my time.

What does this upgrade accomplish? Thanks
  10. Jefflitzy Member

Don - that stove was built in 1999 it took kit pn 1-00-06400

SXIPro - It makes the stove auto ignite

Check the dip switch setting 5 for esp probe - off for any probe except for red wires

Cool. Thanks. I'll have to look into if an upgrade is available for my old Invincible. Did you need to upgrade your control board as well?
  13. Jefflitzy Member

The kit I got had the control board, burn pot & gasket , ignitor & cradle & pusher arm. To my knowledge the do not specifically make a kit for the Invincible. I believe this kit will work on a an RS model but not the T. I saw a thread in here where they put one into a RS and made it work

    http://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/5am-i-hit-the-office-guess-what.89921/#post-1173883

he used raw pieces to make his own kit - the kit plus wiring harness and burn pot plate from what I can tell is what he used

Don - You will see the micro switch when you pull the back of the stove - It is located on the side of the feeder assembly - the old pusher arm touches it each revolution of the feed motor. The new board has no where for it to plug into.

Oh, thank-you. This is it! (1st Pic) I just put the burn pot in and Pusher arm in. Now I have to replace the ESP probe because the old one was beat up.. I had to cut the back of the ash pan to fit under the burn pot! PITA ! ! ! See 2nd pic below.

Also I think the instructions should say to clip on the Ignitor blue and yellow extension wires at the time you install the new burn pot. It would be easier than removing the ignitor later! Although you should be careful not to leave too much slack so the wires hang down and the burn pot pinches them when installed!

Yup and you will have to part with about $600 to do it.....

    Don

You must be special;lol You got instructions. All I got was a manual for a P61A and a wiring diagram sticker and a box of parts.

    Hello

Well the new board went in today. I also replaced the ESP probe for good measure. The old ESP probe was very tarnished.

It now works and I would not leave until I sold a surge protector so he would not blow his board again!

Looks like I'll stich with the old 'handsanitizer and a match' technique.
  21. Harman Lover 007 Minister of Fire

Me too....although lately I use the propane torch.

Thanks for the instructions. Put the kit in when we had a foot of wet snow Oct 5th and power was out for 38 Hours.
