I have an Upland 107, built in 1987 with a baffle and small damper which is part of the baffle, first year with this stove.

What should the temperture inside the flue be ? Should I use a flue Thermometer to maintain a desired temp ?

What temp would the exterior of the black 24 gauge flue pipe be, it's a short run, 2 feet up from stove then 90 degrees into flue ?

What should I use to seal any pipe joints and where pipe enters the flue , would Rutland Black Furnance cement be the correct thing ?

Thx
