Has anyone modified the heat exchanger on their 5510? If so, how? Did it work better? Any pictures or directions?

I'd like to try something like the chickendave or finned aluminum mods, but don't see a good way to get into the heat exchanger. The sides aren't very accessible since the front half of the stove looks welded on, and the hopper looks to be pop-riveted from the bottom before it was installed.

It's probably a bit expensive to get out the torch and sawsall and just experiment, even with a couple months of summer to repair the damage.

Still burning, expect another month - wife gets cold easy. Only 3T this year, 1T left.

Thanks!
