So 2 local places wanted 40$ for the brush rod kit, then 10$ for a head.

I am failing at Google apparently. Seems like it should be cheaper, but I may be wrong.

I have about 10-11 feet of 3" venting.

Any suggestions/links? I do want to do the leaf blower trick, but at -20, call me lazy.

Thanks,
Moe

I bought this http://www.sooteater.com/ did some research on here before buying purchased the extension rods with it but did not get a chance to use it broke my leg playing hockey so the wife is taking care of the stove now good luck

I bought the head and one extension, and then used 1/4 steel rods with a coupling. The brush screws in one end of the coupling the rod the other. It was much cheaper the two rods I used were only a couple bucks the couplings were probably under $1 a piece. I have a 8 ft to clean out and the pipe comes out of my house at about 7ft so I have a reach, its worked well.

I'm going to go with a lint eater, it seems like it would be more then enough, as I don't plan on ever letting the vent get any extreme build up inside.

Also, my dryer vent probably can use a cleaning.

Soot eater - Made by the makers of lint eater =p
