I am going to install Harman Pellet stove using trough the wall duravnet kit. Should I put any protection around the pipe inside the wall? Is it safe if it's going to touch the insulation? Also I have a vinyl siding outside. Please advise. thanks!

I have no experience with a pellet stove but with wood stoves we have to use a part called the "thimble" to pass through a wall. I suspect it depends on the maker, but usually the thimble takes care of all the issues you brought up.
