Vented Gas Logs Blower or Grate Heater

Has anyone tried using a blower, fan, or grate heater with vented gas logs? I know everyone likes inserts, but that is not an option. Also, do you have to install doors in order to use the blower?

For those who tried this option, what brand do you recommend?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but it doesn't sound like a good idea.
A convective ventilation blower could potentially push combustion byproducts like carbon monoxide into the living space.
