Vermont Casting Intrepid older model: heat shield?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to tell if an existing older Intrepid has a heat shield on the bottom, and/or where we can purchase one? Many thanks.

This is what one looks like. I'm not sure if they were available for the oldest VC Intrepid. Your VC dealer would be the best place to ask. It looks like just a flat piece of 22 ga steel. If so it maybe be easy to have one fabricated. Look under the stove for 4 bolt holes.
