Just got the new vg5790 vogelzang pellet stove, put in pine equine pellets and stove will not ignite, the starter gets very hot , but will not ignite, could it possibly be the burn pot not installed correctly?

Agree totally. I burn Southern Indiana Hardwood pellets. The burn pot can only go in correct or backwards. The taller edge goes towards the rear and under the auger chute.
