The shower water temp here has been getting progressivly cooler so I thought I'd try changing out the mixer valve inerds. It got a lot cooler after I turned the mixer back and forth a few times during the last plumbing project! So, I've plunked down my $18. Has anyone done this? Is it just a matter of shutting off the water, unscrewing the "hand tighten" piece, swapping out the assembly, and hand tightening it back in?

Turned out to be very easy. If anyone's water is growing cooler, try this before replacing the coil.
