millinocket, maine
i'm becoming less and less impressed with the local stove shop.
there have been other things that made me blink a little when i heard them. stories about installs etc...

but today i called and asked about a quad loop igniter.
the reply was what i wrote as the thread title.

i then said, "well, you sell heatilator."
"yeah yeah, we sell heatilator" *facepalm*
"well, that's the part i'm looking for, quadrafire part SRV7000-462"
"yeah, i just ordered some of those." *smh* (shake my head)

"can you tell me your price on those?"
"$79"
"ok, thanks" (i hang up)

i pretty much figured i'd be ordering from ebay, but i thought i'd give the local guy a chance.
i can get one of these for $32 with $5 shipping on ebay.

"don't gouge me, bro."

Reactions: Phil Do's fire.
Yeah that's a good sign to stop using this dealer lol.

I don't mind a dealer being a bit more than e-bay / online as they're moving lower volumes of a product and need to make a profit. But more than double and that type of service? Yep, probably time for a new local source.
