What is the difference between the P61 and the XXV ash pan? Size, location, etc.
 
They are both on the bottom. I do not know the size difference but the P61 is a bigger stove so the ash pan would be bigger I would think. I have a 68band a 43 and the 68 is bigger because the stove is bigger.
 
It looks as if the PC45, P61, P61A and P68 are all the same size (doesn't indicate size, just that it fits all of those listed)

Can't find a reference to the XXV though
 
Welders gloves for sure. I grabbed the tube guard out of the fire when it fell and didn't feel a thing
