Thought I'd bump this thread up. I came across this while looking for a backup for heat and hot water. I'm planning on putting in a indoor wood boiler with some pressurized storage into a new construction. This unit is made for solar but I can't see why it will not work with wood heat. Any opinions?

Looks like a great unit, and if you were paying a plumber to do your piping it may be worth it. But at "Your Price: $9,566" ( http://www.monstermarketplace.com/s...ies/versa-hydro-solar-water-heater-phe130-80s) it is little rich for my blood. Pros: Buffer storage, radiant flat plat HX, boiler/solar HX. Cons: Price. Not sure how I would effectively plumb it with additional storage.

I have a HTproduct already. Their SuperStor-Ultra that only loses 1/2 degree per hour.

So I would really like just the Solar Part going into my SuperStor

Any idea how much that would cost?
I currently use 1 tank (250 - 300 gallons) of oil per year for DHW. Any idea how much oil the Solar Panels would save?
