What a lovely, gut busting funny at times thread. If you are not a professional writer, I think you ought to consider it.

An old neighbor of mine had a coal add-on boiler. The boiler got so hot at times we thought it was going to do a dance. He learned to tame it when he added a air handler in the garage with a
on-temp-rise thermostat so the blow off valve wouldn't discharge. His garage was always roasty-toasty.

If I remember correctly he burned bulk chestnut but he also bought a few bags of pea coal to do the initial start up.
