What kind of wood is this?

My future son-in-law dropped off wood from his yard today. Asked what it is and he doesn't know. Either do I. Any help. Very yellow.

My guess is mulberry, and if I am correct you hit the jack pot. Great wood to burn.
 
too hard to tell from the bark but the wood looks to be yellow and any mulberry I have cut was yellow. If it is mulberry then I concur with adrpga498. It's right up there or a little better than white oak.
 
Mulberry. The charts put it closer to red oak than white, but still good. That yellow will be brown from the air in a little bit.
