Spruce Point. Didn't have any leftovers from last year or I would be burning those. Spruce points are the cleanest, hottest pellets I've ever burnt. Pricey but haven't had to clean the stoves in over a month(other than empty the ash pan). I'm beginning to think it's worth the extra money for less maintenance...

Temps at night bouncing between 25-30 degrees over the last week in our Socialist Republic, Comrades! Mild. Still crusin' with over just a 1/2 ton left of last year's GT @ $209/ton. Saving the Barefoots and Somersets for the real winter. Looking for another ton of shoulder pellets when the GTs are gone as I hate to burn good pellets with temps over 15 degrees. Anything "cheap" with reasonable ash in this neck of the woods, from Eastern CT to the Cape in MA???

Been burning the MWP softs ,tried Geneva...makers of Maine choice...alot of ash, dirty glass, higher price.
The MWP blend did make my stove dirty faster as well, but can get them at a good price.
I have tried Spruce pointe...considering the price, wasnt all that impressed..
Northeast,a 80/20 softwood.hardwood was pretty good, but at 250 per ton and have to pick them up myself,I'll try and stick with the MWP softs...for the money, clean burn, low ash...the best all around pellet i have used!
When i first got my insert,i tried Cubex...those were awsome, but at 300 per ton, drive a half hour to get them...not worth the extra time and money when i get the Athens softwoods cheaper and like the job they do!
I got the softies from SIB in Jay,delivered at 239 per ton.

Been burning the CleanFire Pacifics I bought two years ago from www.woodpellets.com. I gotta tell ya, these things are awesome. High heat and lowest amount of ash I've ever seen. I got them in 2011 for $255 a ton delivered. Now there $293 plus delivery. I shoulda bought a truck load!

I've been burning the Lignetics (orange bag) on and off for a few weeks. Not a lot of choices around Utah for premium pellets, but the Lignetics seemed to be pretty good last year. I hope they are the same this year, I bought a ton!!

Canawick hardwoods here, tried a bag of Trebio yesterday, poor heat due to long pellets playing havoc with the feed rates. 10 degrees outside and my Enviro EF3i keepin us warm at 79!

I have been impressed w north american. like them better than GS, instant heat or cheat river. I like IH the least but of course thats what I have the most of - low heat and largest pellets. Saving somersets for the real cold

Cheat Rivers. They seem to have LOTS of fines. Too much handling from WV to PA?

just to be honest, kinda jealous of all the talk of Somesets, never seen them in central pa....i just wish Lowes or TS would be consistant on their brands, they change every month!

Greene Gold's (Lowes) were good, Pellheats are not very good (local hdw), now Lowes has Cheat River and TS has Premium Pellets Appalachian Hardwood for $209, but another local place has Dry Creek for $270. Never used any of these, any suggestions? Just wish i could test out these legendary Somersets!
