Anybody know where to find good prices on chainsaw protective pants? At my local lawn and garden place they are $60 for the Stihl's. I tried looking on the internet, but couldn't find anything.

I recently read somewhere that you can get Husqvarna-brand chaps at Lowe's. They're probably selling for list price, which is $45.95, according to The Wall Street Journal. You might get a discount if you go to a regular chainsaw dealership. Better yet, go with stoz's link or:

    www.labonville.com

Labonville has pretty much anything you need in the way or logging apparel, with a good selection and rock-bottom prices.

Most of the logging and forestry field days held around the country in the summer have vendors selling this stuff at pretty steep discounts.

I got my Husky chaps at Lowes last year for $51 and change. They have gone up to $57 this year.
