Norfolk Ma
Hi Everyone,
Finding it hard to find some wood for the season, ya I know I'm late in getting it. I've got a cord on hand but I'm finding everyone wants 350 a cord : ( , looking to buy 2 more. Any one know of someone in the area?
Thanks,
JD

i called Joe's Tree Service in bellingham the other night to ask if he sold log length. seemed like a decent guy on the phone

508 966-0933

his price is 260 a cord..

also if you're in Norfolk - turn onto main street by the prison like you're heading to walpole and down about a mile or so on the right you'll see an old barn with a fire wood for sale sign.

That's where I got my first cord this year (edit: clarifying: I'm talking about Joe's Tree Service, not the barn in Norfolk, though now I'm going to go look for it.. east or west of the prison?). Not really seasoned, but he seemed like a friendly guy and gave me advice on where to dump and stack, etc. This was CSD, not log-length. The wood was split right before delivery as far as I could tell (he had a splitter audible in the background when I talked to him on the phone, and he mentioned it)

My second delivery was from Joe's Firewood (different Joe) in Attleboro. Not sure if Foxboro's in his range or not.. seems like it should be, maybe with an extra charge. That's probably $280 or more at this point. Some of that delivery was well-seasoned :)

Maybe Bio Bricks if starting this late? There was someone on the South Shore who was listed as a dealer.. Foxboro should be in their delivery area.

Call 401-710-9328. A guy out of Chapachet RI that I got off of Craigslist. Delivered 2 split cords of seasoned one year (legit) red oak for $215 each. It was cut into rounds a year ago and split recently. Timber Tree out of Pawtucket was delivering unseasoned for $200 as of a few weeks ago. Keep checking CL. Lots of reasonably priced wood. good Luck
