Hey guys, have a hampton with enamel. Borrowed an IR but pointing at different parts of the glass give me a wide range of box temps. Where do you guys point yours?

I am thinking in the middle of the firebox but I am just guessing. You are the scientist on this one, try it in 3 or 4 places and let us know what the thermometer on the shelf was reading and each of the 3 or 4 points to corelate(sp).
