Hello. I'm a newbie lurker finally poking her head out of the shell. I've gathered all the info and visited the dealers in my area and have come down to two final choices for a pellet insert. I'm down to the Regency GFI55 or the Quad Classic Bay 1200I.

I live in a 1400 sq. ft. colonial (750 first flr./650 sec. flr.). My fireplace is around the corner from the stairs.

I can't decide. Both dealers are good.

    Thanks!!

    Jen

I just ordered my Quad 1200I this past saturday.hope to have it installed around the end of august.

i cant wait to get it and i can stop worrying about it.couple places i went had no clue when they were coming in.
found a place that had 8 of them ordered and 5 were spoken for already,so i put my deposit down and i hope it comes in on-time.and i put 2 ton of pellets in my garage already,so im ready for winter.also got 200 gallons of fuel oil today also @ $2.30 a gallon.pellets are alot cheaper.well enjoy the summer

Want to order a 1200I , fireplace is blocked off, anyone know if a quadrafire 1200i can be installed in a fireplace but vented through the fireplace wall istead of up it? (stone fireplace) Thank you!
