I have an older Whitfield pellet stove that the room air blower keeps "cutting out" I bought a new one. I was told it was easy to replace, But I don't know!! There are only two bolts holding the housing and then there seems to be some type of sealant around it and I can't remove it. Does anyone know what this might be???

It's probably just the same dark silicon they use on the rest of the stove, although I doubt it needs high temp sealant when you install the new one.

It's still too cold to be tearing into mine right now - I remember looking at it and thinking it wouldn't be hard, but I wouldn't call it easy either. You can use a razor knife to cut the sealant.

I'm assuming you've tested the voltage to the motor?

It is an old rubber gasket they put on those for vibration. When it gets really old it kind of melts and sticks. Just run a razor knife and work it out, along with some scraping and prying using a flat head screw driver to break loose under that lip. Took me about 20 minutes of scraping and prying to get mine out last year.
