Did some more splitting the hickory, oak, and locust. Nice day, mid 20's no wind. After I finished the 2 long 40 ft rows , took a break and added up 584 ft of c/s/s 5 ft high of soon to be "prime brown gold". I haven't figured out how many cords yet, to tired! Lol.....still have 2 plus years in the barn , so I should be good for awhile. :)

Nice work wishlist, after the beating GB took you should work like that the rest of the year!

Zap, I knew you would chime in and spoil all my hard work. Lol.....I sure hope your enjoying the victory because the 49's are coached by a Michigan man and the giants are .......?? ;).

Pete, I stacked some on a few pallets, seems there's a SHORTAGE in mid Michigan. Hmmm! :)

Haha :lol: I am going to bring a load home tomarrow if you would like some I live near you and would be willing to save you some if you would like. I gave some to Dennis and he loved them because they are 4*6 pallets. !

Darn WL.....if those pieces are at 20 inches comes out to 38 cord. You better get to cuttin you're runnin low.

With normal radial & tangential shrinkage on drying, expect to lose about 10% on the stacked wood volume.

So, instead of 500 cords, you'd have about 450. Boo-hoo.
