Will a Quadra fire run with out a thermostat?

I'm looking to make offer on used pellet stove but want to fire it up to make sure it works.
Can I fire it up without the thermostat. If so what's the process..

Screw terminals by the plug where the thermostat wires go. Just need to put a jumper in there. Depending on which Quad we are talking about.
