By working, do you mean working with splits to stack and get from the stack? I find I go through a pair of suede leather gloves every year stacking and getting wood from the stack. I would like something that lasts longer.

I work outside year round starting at 5 am, Mechanics wear insulated winter gloves allow me to do my job as an airplane mechanic without having to remove my gloves for almost everything.
Lowes has them each winter

Years ago I picked up a couple pairs of military surplus wool liner gloves at The Sportsman's Guide. I wear these under a pair of Mechanix gloves or old pair or motocross gloves when it gets cold out. Even doubled up like that I have decent dexterity, the wool keeps me warm even when my hands get a little wet, and the mechanix gloves are cheap enough that I can just replace them as the fingers start to wear through. I probably get around 5 years of use out of a liner.
