    wood gasifiers are like...

well, I'll avoid gender specific nouns or pronouns- but- the light-off (foreplay) seems to be _ absolutely_everything_

A good light-off equals a fantastic burn for the duration of the excercise

A hurried/careless light-off equals total frustration and disappointment for the duration of the excercise - and you'll regret having hurried...

And.. the quality of the wood makes all the difference...

Hope I don't get myself and this thread sent to the Ash Can...

I'm sorry but wood gasifiers are like a spoiled women, when you don't give them exactly what they want, when they want it and in the perfect atmosphere they will belch out vile smoke for the rest of the day. Don't get me wrong I love women and my wife is perfect!!!
