I was in town the other day putting a sign up for church when I decided I'd drop by the compost pile. I found a small pile of logs. They were lighter than I was expecting and I'm wondering what they could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Total guess but light and Minn. I'd guess aspen.

Could be Elm, maybe Silver Maple. Looks like White Oak too, but that would be heavy. More pictures, including the end of the logs, would help.

Dry Silver Maple would be light....
