    I have some of this wood that came with a load I got from a local farmer and cant seem to find out what it is. Sorry for the bad pictures.

    I agree if that first picture is showing the bark then it is sycamore.

    without a doubt, sycamore.

    some of it can be hard to split by hand.

    burns better than my boxelder, but not as good as the hardwood stuff, ash, oak, hickory, cherry, etc.

    Sycamore on the left. I have a lot of it. Tough to split. Lights quick, burns hot but not long.
